What is a good alternative for DIV for large animals, i.e. a horse?

As you are probably well aware, Direct Intravenous Ozone (DIV) is a contriversial administation method. There are those who advocate especially for its use with a large animal such as a horse, however, if one were to replace it with something, it would most likely be Major Autohemotherapy (MAHT) which would require the withdrawing of around 500mls of blood which would then be infused with ozone and returned to the horse. Another option would be rectal insufflation.
